Volunteer at the Native Plant Sale

Again this year, the Gardeners of Rose Valley and the Rose Valley Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) will cooperate to hold a Native Plant Sale at the Old Mill on Saturday May 14 from 9:00 to 1:00. It will be held rain or shine. Please hold the date and plan to participate! Like previous years, this is an opportunity to buy native trees, shrubs, perennials, and grasses at wholesale prices, fulfilling our joint mission to get great plants and good advice out into the community. And there are additional events during the sale, such as Dr. Roger Latham's wonderful plant walk through the Saul Preserve and visits by Delaware County Master Gardeners with info on establishing pollinator gardens, rain gardens and more! This is a really fun event with lots of happy customers learning about native plants and enjoying bargains. We hope you'll volunteer and join in. Because every great event needs great volunteers! You can take a shift and still have plenty of time to shop. There are four shifts for helping with the sale. Here is a link for signing up for one or more shifts: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4BA9A822A5FFC16-rose There are also ways you can help out ahead of the sale. Please let us know if you are willing to: § Promote the sale on your own social media using the attached flyer (thanks to Monica Gagliardi for her beautiful design!) § Post paper copies of the flyer to locations around our area § Donate potted native plants from your own garden § Help sort plants on Friday evening, May 13 If you have any questions or comments, please contact Cindy McPherson or Deirdre Gibson. We’re looking forward to hearing from you. Cindy bloomandgrow71@gmail.com Deirdre deirdreg84@gmail.com
